There has always been a sculptural nature to my art work. It was the dimensional element that first drew me to letterpress printing, then to impasto painting, and naturally to ceramics. I couldn’t put my finger on what all of these seemingly random interests have in common until recently. Then it hit me. The use of that phrase is so hilariously apt because that's exactly what it is. In this screen heavy digital culture, I want to touch something real- to feel ridges, textures, and appreciate charming imperfections that a real person made on a real object. All of my work is meant to be touched, and to bring that authenticity into your everyday life. When you collect one of my pieces, you can feel with your own fingers the hours and love that I have put into it.
